  - All slides move on turcite anti-friction bearing material. 
  - The carriage and cross slide are designed with
  - adjustable taper gibes to maintain long life and high accuracy
  - Highly rigid headstock 
  - by three point contact spindle taper roller bearing

 Headstock
  - The headstock is lubricated by force oil 
  - which is pumped from a large reservoir 
  - to maintain a constant oil temperature
